There was this one manga which wasn’t really that popular in good old Japan, but then everything changed when the gaijin attached! The guys from 4chans /a/ just fell in love with this manga. People started buying multiple copies and thus dramatically improving its sales. It got so popular that they even started printing that its a huge hit on the western 2chan on the cover of it (as can be seen on the picture below). And this manga is of course Watashi ga Motenai no wa dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui! or Wata Mote for short.

The story is about a 15 year old high school girl who is a complete shut in and is socially awkward. Like I mean it, she cant talk to anyone aside from family and 1 girl who she used to be friends with in elementary school. Yet we all love her. To some she might even be a representation of themselves, you lonely otaku hikis…

So far 3 volumes have been released (and of course I own all 3) and the 4th one coming in July (already preordered). But whats more important is that this glorious manga is getting an anime adaptation! Woah right? Next season (summer 2013) this show will have 23min episode every week for 12 weeks. Well all I can say is that I am seriously looking forward to see how they animate it, but judging by the PV, it looks awesome. Also the VA fits the role perfectly!

I have been living in Australia for almost 3 years now, but I have never been to the capital! *shock* So I decided that now, right before exams, would be the perfect time to go visit this small city.

Many of my friends said that there is nothing interesting in Canberra and that I would just be wasting my time by going there. I would beg to differ. Yea sure Canberra is not the most interesting place, but it does have some great museums and memorials.

When I arrived there it was 10:30am, 8° and raining. Not the most pleasant day I can say, but we made it worth wile. The first stop was the War Memorial. It was very interesting for me to learn about how Australians see the wars that happened throughout the century. This was a very emotional experience. Since Australia is located so far away from the rest of world and mainly Europe where all the action was happening during WWII, their main enemy was Japan. It was an extremely moving experience, remembering the war that is.

After spending almost 5 hours in the War Memorial looking at all the weapons, artillery, airplanes, and listening to a free tour by a navy war veteran, I headed to our second point, which was the National Art Gallery. Unfortunately no photos were allowed inside, so you will only see some on the outside.

And lastly I walked by the parliament house and took some night pictures of that.

If anyone asks me wether Canberra is worth visiting, I will no doubt say yes, because I believe it is very important to remember about the wars that our ancestors fought and also just looking around the city and going to other museums is a change from our daily life here in Sydney or any other big city.

So on the 5th of June, I went to go look at the Vivid light show in Circular Quay and Darling Harbour.

This is the third time I’ve visited the festival, and wow I can say it amazes me how many different colours and designs and animations they can make and project onto the buildings. What can I say it looks amazing.

Tonight at 3am Sydney time, Apple had their World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) where they announced many new changes to both their software and their devices. You can read the full coverage on 9to5mac.com. But I will just quickly mention what I love about it.

Main things are the new improved MacBook Airs, a revolutionary new Mac Pro and of course the new OSX 10.9 Maverick.

But the main point of attraction this year was iOS7.

The OS looks stunning, the fonts are amazing, and the minimalism is exactly what we need from an OS now. Cant say I like the icons that much, but I think I will grow to like them. My words are not enough to express how impressed I am in this new design. Its definitely a step forward. Here is a comparison on how the icons changed. 各国の代表歌手が歌を披露した後に、欧州国国民による投票が行われる。そして最高点をもらった国が優勝し、優勝国は次の年のヨーロビジョンを自国で開催地する権利を得る。 今年のヨーロビジョンはスウェーデンで開催され、オーストラリアSBSテレビでも今月の１9日に決勝が放送された。今大会では、準決勝の時点で優勝候補だったデンマークのエミリー・デ・フォレスト（Emmelie de Forest）さんが優勝した。彼女は「Only Teardrops（涙のしずくだけ）」を歌って281ポイントを獲得した。

欧州にとってこの大会は娯楽だけではなく、自国に誇りを持ち国の力を証明する機会だと思う。欧州には様々な国があり、色々な文化や習慣が混じっているので、自国の特徴を欧州だけではなく、世界に見せたいという気持ちで歌手がステージで歌っていると感じる。 ２０１２年大会ではスウェーデンが圧倒的に人気だった。今大会で、デンマークは圧倒的な勝利ではなかったが、私は今大会でエミリー・デ・フォレストの「Only Teardrops」が一番良いと思ったので、彼女が勝ってよかった。ちなみに今まで私の一番好きな歌は２００９年のノルウェーの「Fairy Tale」だ。

This is a new game made by Doug TenNapel and the creators of Neverhood, this game will be made Pencil Test Studios, a company made by these guys just for the purpose of making this game.

So if you have heard of the Neverhood (or НЕВЕРьвХУДо на русском), you are probably as excited as me right now. For those who don’t, just look at this gameplay video: click me! Not only is the gameplay pretty cool for a game made in 1996, but also the music is amazing, it is made by the award winning composer Terry S. Taylor. And guess what?! He is also composing the music for Armikrog, and from what I could see in the video on the KickStarter campaign, the music is as funky as always. May 12, 2013, Sydney Opera House, Tenacious D performing their latest album Rize of the Fenix and some songs from their previous 2 albums: Tenacious D and Pick of Destiny. My good friend Sashin and me went to enjoy the D live, and boy we were rocked hard by the D. We could feel the D blowing our mind.

As this is the first time I have ever gone to a rock concert, I can say it was amazing! Tenacious D you rock!

The 90s! For me and most of my friends that was when we were born and were just growing up. I remember those times when I used to play with toy cars and Yo-Yos and when my first tamagochi died :( Trolls were these small creatures that everyone would have and omg the Pokemon Tazos!!! Those were the good old days, and this commercial made me remember them. Up until the last few seconds I felt really touched by this ad. I thought to myself, wow who made such a nice advertisement, its definitely a company that has to do with technology, but who? And then at the last scene I realized… its just Microsoft trying to tell us that they “fixed” internet explorer and that now it is, apparently, usable… HA! Nope, not falling for that.

サムスンGalaxy S4のハンズオン批評である。14日にニューヨークでサムスンが新スマートフォンを発表し、Gizmodoが即行触って見た。筆者の感想は平凡であった。「新端末S4には多くのものが詰め込まれているが、胸が熱くなるようなものはない」と書かれていた。

世界で一番人気なAndroid機種の昨年発表されたS IIIは4000万台を売り上げた。なぜならその携帯が前のSIIより革命的だったからである。しかしS3と比べてS4は革新が少なさそうである。

S4にはハードウェアが新しいCPUや13メガピクセルカメラや2GB RAMや2600mAhバッテリーが更新されて、業界スタンダードと言える。

ソフトに関しては、S4が盛りだくさんで新規のものが多い。一番面白そうなソフトはSmart PauseとSmart Scrollである。目の動きを読むシステムである。画面の外を見たら、動画が止まり、そして、端末を上／下に傾けることでスクロールができる。

私はサムスンの商品あまり好きではないが、テクノロジーに非常に興味があり、毎日ニュースを読む。S4 は iPhone 4Sような更新であり、そんなに革新的ではないと思う。なぜなら、新ソフトは実用的かどうかまだはっきりわからないからである。胸躍るような革新がなかく、ただのアップグレードではないか。そのソフトはAppleのように充実したユーザーエクスペリエンスが提供できないだろう。とにかく、テクノロジーは急速前に進んでいて、来年までサムスンの主力商品はGalaxyS4である。

したがって、発売まで一ヶ月待ち、しっかりとS４の資質を見ないと判断はできない。
