Hi there!

My name is Vadim Brodsky (originally Vadims Brodskis in Latvian). Though some of you might know me by my handle @jamiejakov (why jamiejakov?). Originally from Riga - Latvia, in 2010 I moved to Sydney - Australia to get a university degree and settle down.

Currently working as a Principal Frontend Software Engineer at Canva. And volunteering as a Software Engineer in SMASH!

Love tech, traveling, anime, and photography, so that's what I mainly blog about.

Aside from that I know 5 languages (in the order that I learned them):

• Russian — mother language
• Latvian — country language, all the subjects in school were taught in it. Don't remember much
• English — have been learning since I was 3 years old, basically native now (yea nah mate)
• German — learned it in school (around 7 years), haven't had any practice lately
• Japanese — since 1st year high school, passed JLPT N2 in uni, and have a Japanese wife, so its my 3rd best
